Rob Boone - Vocals and Banjo

Rob's formidable banjo style commands nationwide
respect. Technique, timing, and tone are his
trademarks. One fan precisely summarized Rob’s
approach by exclaiming, "It just sounds like he’s
driving every note with a sledgehammer!"

Banjo players throughout the country, from novices to professionals,
recognize Rob’s abilities. Even J. D. Crowe notes his competence with the
simple recommendation, "He can play!"

Rob lives in the northwest corner of Arkansas, in Springdale. In the past,
Rob declined career opportunities with prevalent bands due to personal
considerations. Now, Lonesome Road benefits from his stalwart
instrumentals, precise kickoffs, and forceful breaks, which highlight all
of their shows. In recent years, Rhonda Vincent and the Rage recruited
Rob; he accompanied them on a brief tour, the climax of which was an
appearance on the Grand Old Opry.
